Busy Bees is a friendly community run group that has been providing play for children aged 2-4 for over 20 years.
Busy Bees was founded by Jackie Brannam and Gill Milton in the early 1990s. From then Busy Bees saw hundreds of 2-4 year olds pass through its doors.
Although we had to stop running the Ofsted registered playgroup sessions in November 2012 we hope that something new may yet arise from the ashes, as there is still local demand for a locally run group for children before they move up to school. Its form is likely to be somewhat different, and possibly place a greater emphasis on using parents and volunteers in order to stay outside the regulatory umbrella and keep costs down.
